(5) Seek Support: You are not alone. There are many wonderful therapists, healers, grief coaches etc. out there who are ready, willing and able to assist you.

Now that Trump has won, half the nation is upset because they didn't vote for him. The other half is hoping for a better future with him.
And yet, there's a subset of that group of his voters that is going to be sorely disappointed in the coming months/years. It's not all of them, obviously, but it's a significant group that expects Trump to start clearing out brown people and building a wall to keep them out. They expect him to make them prosperous by cutting taxes on corporations and removing minimum wage. They expect him to bring all the business back to America. There is this subset of Americans for Trump that expect him to put Hillary in jail, to go after anyone who "betrays" him or isn't "loyal" to him. They expect this because that's what they chose to hear him say, even if Trump can weasel out of those kinds of things quite easily.
When this doesn't happen exactly as it was promised, or as they had interpreted it, those people will also be disappointed and let down.

Woke up to the unfortunate news. Congrats America, you've elected a man who is easily the most unqualified human being ever to run for office. A man with hardly any grasp of how government functions, a man who lied 70+% of the time his mouth was moving throughout his campaign. A man who is on record bragging about sexually assaulting women because his power and status make it possible. A man who claims to be a Christian, yet exhibits nothing of the sort. A man who promised a border wall that can't be built, that no engineering firm will ever build, and that will solve no problems even if it were built. A man facing dozens of lawsuits against him for, among other things, not paying the people who did work for him. A man whose candidacy has given rise to some of the most hateful, racist, xenophobic behavior by Americans in our lifetime. A bully, and a tyrant. I could keep going, but you get the picture.
Listen carefully: if you ever referred to President Obama as a dictator, fasten your seat belts. Nothing he did in these 8 years resembled anything close to the actions of a dictator, or a Marxist. In your infinite disconnect from politics, you have no idea the lengths to which Trump might go to exert dictatorial control over the country. He's alluded to numerous plans that, as president, laugh in the face of constitutional law and can only be described as those of a man completely unaware of the political process, how laws are made, and how to govern.
I can't wait to re-share this as a TBT in 2020 if we're all still using Facebook. I've never felt more confident to hold an "I told you so" moment in the palm of my hand. What a shame the country has come to this day. Thank America for your collective cluelessness, your disengagement, your willingness to usher in an era that makes us look like fools to the rest of the world. Great job.
