The money represented the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement the Obama administration reached with Iran to resolve a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal signed just before the 1979 fall of Iran’s last monarch

this is more interesting than all the reality tv verbal spats. less so on the narrative if the payout included hostages and more so on the money involved, and how it was decided and how it all went down. the whole politics of it and it dating back so far, way it was phrased. seems like the press could write a lot more about this.

3 out of 4 of NYT top sellers are anti-Hilary books
Hilary Broz, please down vote...
Here is how Amazon describes the books:
— Crisis of Character. In this runaway #1 New York Times bestseller, former secret service officer Gary Byrne, who was posted directly outside President Clinton's oval office, reveals what he observed of Hillary Clinton's character and the culture inside the White House while protecting the First Family in CRISIS OF CHARACTER, the most anticipated book of the 2016 election.
— Hillary's America. Dinesh D'Souza, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller America: Imagine a World Without Her, has a warning: We are on the brink of losing our country forever. After eight years of Obama, four years—or possibly eight years—of Hillary Clinton as president of the United States would so utterly transform America as to make it unrecognizable.
— Armageddon. The 2016 election is truly America's Armageddon—the ultimate and decisive battle to save America, a fight to defeat Hillary Clinton and the forces seeking to flout our constitutional government and replace it with an all-powerful president backed up by an activist judiciary that answers to no one. Already President Obama has moved America far down this path, and a President Clinton will act as his "third term," institutionalizing the excesses of the past eight years. In Armageddon, bestselling author and political strategist Dick Morris provides a winning game plan to take back the White House, and America.

- But why doesn't trump? Is it because he is too petty?2002

The Green Party has some good ideas and some that appear to be borderline insane. For instance the policy page on their website talks about a "maximum income", which means they will tax all of what anyone makes over 10 times the minimum wage.
So if the minimum wage is $7.50, anything you make over $75k a year will be taxed at 100%.
- insanemonospaced
- Aye, the green party here wants entirely open borders. Boy, that'll come back and shit on their nicely-mown lawn in a generation.detritus
- The good news for many is when the minimum hits $15/hr the taxation will begin on money you make after $115k********
- Question is whether they are referring to net or gross income.********
- I'm just skimming but I think you meant $150kmoldero
- Moldero - yes you are right.********
- You really have to worry whether or not corporations will pack up and move to another country in lack of support for American people.********
- Also if you work 40hrs per week for 52 weeks @ $15/ per hour totals $31,200********
- Maybe you're right, but they don't explain it at all on their website.yuekit
- They are also going to ban all GMOs and nuclear energy, good luck with that.yuekit
- What i know about GMOs are that they offer a lot of unfair corporate practices that stop other farmers from growing their own crops.********
- In terms of energy, I think solar, wind, and hydros are much better alternatives to nuclear.********
- You need to learn more then
https://www.youtube.…yuekit - It would be harder to challenge these then they're also the same people funding the Democratic party.********
- It would be harder to challenge these when the corporations behind GMOs and nuclear energy are the same people funding the Democratic party.********
- Yes but the Greens are totally controlled by the healing crystal industry.yuekit
- berkley commune-ist********
- Haha, the healing crystal.********
- They would start min wage at $12.50 (in 2000) and adjust for cost of living to now. Then tax 100% over 10x the min wage.********
- So, let's say the min wage under them ends up being $15/hr. That would mean NO ONE in the country could make over $150/hr??? Insane.********
- After reading this, I honestly think the Green Party would be worse than Trump! hahahahah********

- obviously not likely to happen, but the fact that they feel a need to explore this is funny as shitCygnusZero4
- seeing on cnn now. gop is actually furious with trumpCygnusZero4
- I'll tell you the options: getting ready for a decade or more of Democratic presidents. This will be the GOP implosion icing on the cake if he drops out.mg33

Christ this is just... funny. His own VP breaks off from trump and endorses Ryan.
- fucking dumpster fire the trump campaign is right nowCygnusZero4
- That is for the house seat, not president.BonSeff
- yes we're aware of that, but trump is not supporting the highest ranking republican. the gop is very angry at himCygnusZero4
- probably because Ryan is a complete spineless yes man.BonSeff
- you better think again if you think trump can survive in this party without supporting him.CygnusZero4
- ryan is highly respected in the party. this is going to get worse if trump doesnt get behind himCygnusZero4
- http://reaganpluscat…BonSeff
- GOP is going to lose the senate anyway, so what.BonSeff
- If Trump has shown us anything, it's that he can survive an attack. He's like the cockroach of politicians: he's a disgusting pest and even nukes won't stop himmonospaced
- Point is, I think he can survive in this election, even if he accused Ryan's mother of being a terrorist sympathizer on Twitter.monospaced
- ^ has avid followers love that he's sticking it to the GOP institution. Question is how many of them are there?monkeyshine
- How many? Not as many as he needs to win.monospaced
- I think hilry has proven more then that. she could survive committing crimes and still run for prez.yurimon
- you would have to be living in a closet and a complete idiot to even think that level of corruption is even reward able.yurimon
