^nah, its nothing major, just some old family pics a friend asked me to 'see what you can do'... when i get them scanned i will try all of the above including photoshoping cooters! thanks for all the tips!

i think you should just give up and reshoot

channel mixer may help you with masking... try R 100, G -100, B -100.
adjust until you've got the flare isolated. Then convert to mask and use levels/HS to rebalance.

i would then use the same mask to create a layer mask to create a levels layer mask that would fix the color of the area once the reds removed......

try creating a hue/saturation layer mask that removes just the red light leak and paint it in as needed

hi people,
i've got some film photos that have lightleaks on them. on any other occasion, this would be 'cool' but this time i need to get rid of them. any ideas, photoshop tricks in your sleeves?
