Why are some guys to scared to ask a woman for advice when it comes to digital design? (not everyone, but where I work, they'll rather ask a male freelancer)....and no, I'm not that much of a bitch ;)

Just throwing this out there but, are you really pretty? They may be really shy and don't know how to approach you. Some men can not distinguish between just talking to a woman and trying to always be cool in front of a woman they find attractive/want to secks/want to see nekkid/hold/go for long walks with/etc.

because if it aint pink n fluffy they dont like it... in my current works i dread the universal crit where a design goes out to everyone for review because their answers are just inaine... im sure you're not the same this is just my day to day experience with these fluff headed lasses.

I've always worked with women and found their advice interesting and pretty useful since is from a pretty different point of view.

I don't know, but I can say the woman I work with on a daily basis play the fucking unnecessary, and unwarranted "woman" card an awful fucking lot. This is only in programming though I've seen this.
Not other jobs.

I really don't care who I ask, as long as I learn something. Female designers though, usually think they are better, or know more, so be careful you don't fall under that know-it-all bitchy category. And I agree with a few posts here, if you are hot, most guys will be intimidated...

I havent really had any of these problems. However I do know one woman that only likes to critique after its gone through client approvals and then picks out things that either the client requested or things that dont matter to the design and tears them apart. That is fuckin annoying so I don't talk to her (specific to just her) about my pieces (especially since she can never seem to finish a design piece herself, well at least not on time!).

Mani I had the SAME problem!!! It is annoying. The guys would ONLY ask each other for help. It was not fair and then they would talk shop and act like they knew it all.

I think it's all in personal experience, I have come across women and men who think they know it all, some of which may be great and some of which are completely ignorant.
To assume all "women are shit at digital design" is ridiculous and you are probably angry at your mother or something.
Also if men honestly won't ask your opinion that may be related to where you work, I have not yet experienced that. Hope not too.
