web host recommendation

Don't know, I pay around 150€/year for a 20Gb account with IP address, mysql, php5, perl, unlimited domains, subdomains, email accounts. And really never had any problem.

I know some people here on QBN hate (mt) Media Temple and say they are slow and are always down. I use them and I have never ever had any problems with them. I have used some shitty hosts in the past and it was a total nightmare and I needed a company that would not let me down!
Sure a lot of the major design sites/portals out there together with the top designers use (mt) Media Temple as their host and I have never heard them bitch about (mt) Media Temple being down! Any host will have some small glitches now and again but that's it.
I can name numeros hosing companies that are far worse! Remeber when getting a hosting account with a hosting company, do a lot of background checks, read reviews on what other people say because at the end of the day you are going to trust these people with your clients and your data.
I love (mt) Media Temple and I have not looked back since the day I signed up with them.

the catch is there is no such thing as a unlimited space hard drive.. so how are they able to store unlimited space?
most people only use about 100-200mb of space..

Never have had problems with (mt). Got many sites hosted with them for various clients. Some dedicated virtual, some grid.
They offer php5, ruby, mySQL, all the bells and whistles — which if you don't really need I guess don't pay for....
Wouldn't recommend goDaddy, 1and1, as they're kind of, um, pedestrian IMHO.

Is there any truth behind these GoDaddy claims or is this just peoples speculation? If I knew they were practicing shady business I would go with someone else even though they have been really good.

i've been with www.globat.com for a few years now. haven't had any problems and if i ever have any questions their cs is on point
