i dont think uve thought this through at all have u
your design looks really basic and almost template like. i mean a school kid could have made this themselves.
The reason why QBN and all the rest of the forums/portals out there are as successful as they are is because they offer something different in terms of design/interactivity etc
so tell me whats different about urs thats puts u on the same level

What Hench said, it's all about content.
I remember renascentfused, minimalist and all black.
not boring at all, I enjoyed it.

Now I wonder what would happen if you ripped off the old NT design for your look and made it work exactly the same way?
Controversial...

i think im in need of a bald eagle to take me under there wing and get involved with Dust-Creative but that would be too much to ask from QBN member surely?

So you're making a forum, for the Best of the Best designers? Who are you then?
I'm not being funny, but you're not going to get superstar designers stay at your forum, regardless of how much cyan you use, if you are some random unknown designer.
And ... It's PhpBB.
- That sounds condescending, it's not supposed to be. But, yeah - it's also quite a pointless venture given all the other communities.Mojo
- "regardless of how much cyan you use" I like that one! Can I use it?nicnichols

I think everyone saying that if you want to make it, you need to do something a bit more unique.
It's not a bad idea. It just needs to stand out (in content, structure, and usability) to make it.
- bulletfactory0
what is the point of the forum?
- GORADIO0
maybe you need to get some investment elsewhere, and pay a web designer, rather than wanting a web designer to take a share in the company. kinda, no-strings-attached.
Dragon's Den?

Don't give up on anything, if you believe in it.
What I was trying to say, and I think people will probably agree, is that it's a venture that needs a decent amount of experience, willpower, contacts, and .. money!
Do some real serious market research about this. Also, if you are not a web designer, you will definitely need someone to code for you (especially as it's dynamic, and will need a database).
It doesn't have to earn you money, but people need a reason to hangout at Dust Creative rather than any of the other, possibly hundreds of, design communities. There are a heck of lot out there.
Again, don't give up on anything if you believe in it. Just have a good think about where your energies are best spent.
- btw, QBN is a great place if you need a dream-crushing reality check! I treasure it!Mojo
