this is just... horrible :[
come on. silly, completely irrelevant, pointless cliched iPod style dancing.... fancy glow effects and sparkle trails...
...all about a pack of gum parading through space.
surely a better creative brief than "we need to advertise this thin pack of gum. lets get some hiphop guy to dance in black space with green glowing trails animating around the gum in slow motion." must have been possible?

argh, this makes me so angry. I fucking hate everything and don't want to be a designer anymore.
fucking douchebags everywhere and most of them are in some kind of creative control of something (or work at Aquent) and have no idea about anything. "Green's COOL! It means fresh and our gum is fresh and tastes like green! Fuck! We're clever!"
Lap it up you fucking consumers, your incessant purchasing will be your demise.
- it is green because that has been the brand colour for years, and the colour of mint? perhaps you give upPromotionalUseOnly
- I'm aware of the brand asshole. I was illustrating a point, or should I get my crayons out?meffid
- Yes mint is green, but what the fuck does glowing, green, dancing gum mean/do? Is it radioactive?meffid
- Yeah, you need another jobbabaganush
- ah the school of 'lets not use green'PromotionalUseOnly

Yeah, not much to like there.

I think they're trying to show the new pack. I'm pretty sure the doublemint is the last to go over the stadium pack. In that sense, kinda seems to work to me. Def played out style tho.

wow that was really exciting, Im gonna start dancing around and chew gum at the same time.
- Be careful not to choke!MrOneHundred

At least it's technically quite accomplished. I'm doing green trails at the moment (yawn)...we all know the score...rough with the smooth

This is THE worst piece of pish at the moment, you can see the marketing team all over.
- There you go...99% of advertising. Lowest common denominator - think the Wrigleys commercial is being beaten up too muchbabaganush
- This is one creepy commercial.nikdaum
- That's creepy in ways I don't even understand...TheBlueOne
- Two young girls trying to hook their dad up on a date. Where's the mum? Dead? Under the patio?Jimbo82
- Those girls are just sick of wearing dirty clothes and eating pizza 7 nights a weeklocustsloth

That's the thing. Most creatives are magpies or just plain frustrated. At least the guys who made the visuals had some skill. At the top end though it's marketing and the closer to that end the less skill and just plain waffle and bullshit...
- +1/2 (I somewhat agree, if I make another finance site, I'll top myself)meffid

they have done some nice work...

Yeah but they're probably not the 'creatives'...more creativity in their bell end but traditionally in 'creative' land, having a demonstrable skill is worthless - you're better off just pontificating and stealing scripts waiting for awards...then being frustrated because you haven't got the balls to be a 'director' and take crap...miaooow haha!
- babaganush0
You mean me?
- no, lol, just an open invitation. would be good to see what kind of ads/animations folk have done23kon

I think the ad is ok...
