I think it works in terms of the whole identity and the "sandwich" concept. You can't expect fine art out of a fast food logo.
- no but you can expect more for Pentagram though...robotron3k

I feel like more and more as of late, Pentagram comes up with simple solutions and eloquent copy to support said solutions.

At first glance I was thinking , "great, another Miller/Coors flop"... But after looking at the interior of the store, menus and packaging I think they did a nice job.

Are you kidding me? That logo looks like first level student work. The interior is nice though.

I think as a whole they pulled it off. The logo on it's own doesn't really do it for me. But in the context of it's environment it works.

I dont know why Pentagram gets any attention other than negative. Michael Beirut is obviously terrible at his job. I think that ive seen more bad stuff come out of Pentagram than good.. and it keeps surprising me how much worse it gets.

As designers we should be able to look at this as an entire brand. Like morilla said; it all comes together with the execution and the attention to detail when implamenting it in it's given environment.I think a brand like this need to be a lot simpler, as the fast food brand landscape today is so congested, consumers need to be given something more recognisable to associate with.
