yeah, what lvl_13 said: welcome.
grand ave has a good commercial district along it (shops and food), as does nicolet ave in mpls (aka, eat street). the walker and mn art institute are great places to check out (mia is free!) the north shore (north of duluth) is always a great place to go as there are shitloads of things to do up there if you like the out-of-doors.uptown has tum rup thai, awesome thai food with women everywhere (as do many places in the calhoun area.
have fun, keep this thread alive....

MIMA is cool if you're forty and love SEO.

Never head of MIMA, but I actually live very close to where you are moving to. Great spots to check out in this area (food mainly) are Khyber Pass, Everest on Grand & Pad Thai. Cafe Latte is nice...food is sometimes hit or miss but the desserts are top notch.
Two of my friends (www.attitudecity.com) have a monthly residency at Clubhouse Jaeger in the Warehouse District. They spin mainly 80s electro/italio disco/pop records, and it's a great time.
- +1 to Everest on Grand. A bit expensive, but the foods great.jaylarson
- I don't think Everest is that expensive, especially if you get the combo-meal...skwiotsmith

I know people who are into it. It is more marketing than design. I am not all that fond of the people I know who are excited about it.

I live right in that Grand area. Feel free to hit me up as well if you need anything.
