What ever photographer you find - you'll hate the photos. Might
as well get your Dad to take them.

Yeah the people who shot my wedding are good at that style. They're in Canada though.

my cousin got married last year, she had a professional photographer (and assistant) hired for the day.
as a wedding present my dad said he'd take photos too.
my dad is a graphic designer and a amateur photographer so he knows what a decent pic should be, he spent the day taking snaps.
the two professional photographers had the same camera as my dad.results:
professional photographers pics - average
dads pics - brilliantone of my mates got married a couple of weeks ago so as a wedding present i spent the day taking b&w photos and im going to put together a book on blurb.com and give it to them.
the style i took and some of the photos my dad took were "Candid" style shots rather than the boring standard wedding lineup photos that maybe your granny would like to receive.
if i was planning a weddin then id get a photographer to do shots like that - but try rope a mate into taking candid ones too.
honestly - its the candid shots that reflect the fun and memories of the day. and not the lineup ones .... where you can fondly remember being manhandled into positions by tthe photographer for 2 hours.- Mate thanks for the advice.
bigO - Yeah I would agree with that, some photogs will demand to be the only shooter there with an slr though.slappy
- thats rediculous request. what happens if relatives have an slr?23kon
- its just a general "im the only pro there" contract as these dudes often charge per photo after the inital cost. Its crap I know.slappy
- Have encountered this at mates weddings when I bring out my camera.slappy
- wow thats madness. i didnt have an slr though, ricoh gx100 so a bit more discrete
23kon - yeah I had same gear as photographer haha.slappy
- Mate thanks for the advice.
