Have a little extra money and was thinking about picking one of these up. Anyone have one? Is it worth it?

I was thinking about getting one of these too. Interested to hear what people think.

I thought about it but they're a bit slow apparently (only 50cc). They look more vulnerable than most bikes as well.
They do look the business though...

You need a scooter license in NYC.
- you do? even for under 50cc? documentation?lvl_13
- Yes.dirtydesign
- no i mean can you show me some documentation.lvl_13
- I can't find it anywhere, but my brother just got threw taking the motorcycle test and they told him ALL motorized scooters have to be licensed and registered.dirtydesign

I was actually wondering about these too... the 50cc steers me away from this... maybe I will just go the Vespa (or something like it) route...
The Ruckus looks so cool though... and I wouldn't feel like such a hipster.
- The Honda Ruckus is the most hipster thing to ride!alexand
- hmm... yeah actually i think you might be right...TeganTorch

- ... and 40mph out of a 125cc? You must be able to go quicker than that, surely.alexand
- Nice! I can't wait to get one. (I love the pink bicycle too)TeganTorch
- Alexand - 40mph is the speed limit on my island - not the limit on the bike.JerseyRaindog

I have one and its a lot of fun. It tops out at about 40mph. I live in downtown Denver and most of the speed limits are 35 and under. Its got 160 miles on it and I've had to put like $13 of gas in it, and thats premium. This guy blew a stop sign and hit me on it, and there was nothing wrong with it besides some scratches and a bent rear brake arm. It takes a licking. I on the other hand broke my foot. Here in Colorado its considered a motorized bicycle, so you dont need your motorcycle license.
