Depends where in Toronto. Lots range anywhere from about $8 - $25 for day time parking. You can park on the street for about 1 for half an hour.

I live in Toronto and there is Parking everywhere. The "Green P " parking is government regulated and everything else is private and a bit more money.

We got clamped in Amsterdam once, due to weed-related time-mismanagement.
I managed, whilst high, to get across the city in 2 trams, find the office, pay and get the car released and find my way back not speaking a word of Dutch, or paying for the tram.

I parked in a spot in the Queen West area, a clearly indicated spot with a meter and everything (10pm at night) came back and the car was gone. It turns out that there was a sign on the wall of a business (some shit bike shop near Much Music) that had an "unloading zone" sign behind some bushes out of plain view.
There was glass all around so I assumed it was broken into and stolen but it turned out that's just how Toronto streets roll in that area and the car had been towed all the way to the dockside.

^^ and to add, if you ever go to park in the EATON CENTRE parking lot, be away that if you show up at 3 pm and leave at 6pm they will charge you for two full "days" of parking or some bullshit like that. Avoid!

Toronto is mostly flat and on a grid which makes it is a good cycling city. That is if you wanna sell your car and get a bike.
