i bought a XSi in April. loving it.
the body is really nicely designed imo
love the placing of the bottoms. really convenient.
the live view comes in handy sometimes.

bought the Canon 40D recently. but still have to buy a lens.
thinking of a Sigma 24-70mm F2.8. and a tilt-shift.
any suggestions?

i use the 40D with the 24-70mm L and it's a really nice combo. i'd really like to get the 70-200mm L f/2.8 next, then the 50mm f/1.2 or 85mm f/1.2

Bag i would say go for Lowepro or Crumpler NOT TAMRAC
