Have you brought this issue to your landlord's attention? That sucks man.

i have only noticed it for two nights now. but i am going to tell the landlord soon. i am gonna go to a doctor to make sure, but i will make them aware. chances are they wont want to act because i am moving so soon

I see. Well at any rate, a new bed is obviously in order. The plagued one is beyond saving. Burn that sumbitch. Hit up craigslist for mattresses that are still sealed and unused. It's good that you'll be moving, just fumigate everything you own before setting foot in the new apartment.

gross

i just bought the bed too. i have been reading online that you dont have to throw away the mattress. its a matter of steaming the bugger and sealing it right afterwards.

man,it must really suck. i hear there's a bit of outbreak these days. i read they can live under subway bench, bus seating, etc... living in nyc, this kinda freaks me out.

I had the in my old aprt in brooklyn.
1. go by a plastic bed cover for your bed immediately
2. have an exterminator spray the shit out of ur apartment the liquid doesnt harm u so the can spray it on your box spring but i still wouldnt sleep on it. he came every 2 weeks.
3. Wash all ur clothes 3 times.
4. before u load ur furniture into your new home take all ur draws out of ur dresser and clean all the seams with something powerful.
5. Get a new bed for ur new place, not just matress. EVERYTHING.
I moved and they didnt come with me with these efforts.
- and if u have a girl sleep over and she gets bit. tell her it's spider bites..that's what i did.tasty

sudderdine if u bought the bed recently u should make sure it's not on of those refurbished ones.
That could be where they came from.

honestly, it could have came from anywhere. but the bed and box spring are brand spanking new. i guess ill just have to steam them both before i move. i am going to buy storage, wash all my stuff, bag it up and take it there. that way i will be sure i don't transfer anything.

guys, don't be paranoid. Her is what worked for me:
1. wash your clothes
2. use Dionic Dust and spread it everywhere, including the sides of the mattress, around the bed, the cracks in the wall -- keep it there
3. i caught one fucker and put it in jar to see how long it takes for him to kick the bucket and it was about 1 month before the sucker died out of starvation
4. there is plenty of babies that are way smaller then the ones in the pics people post on the net, so after you do the steps above just keep on living -- if you keep the Dioni Dust around in no time the fuckers should be gone
