Finding apparant whole parallel universes of people much younger than you developing neat ways to use technologies that you've spent years using and earning a living with, that have 3 letter acronyms and somehow output flash10 content in real time across a network based on the confusion index of your face in your webcam, whilst bouncing sprites off your eyebrows and generating synthesised sound from the shape of your mouth as you say 'how the fuck did they do that, as3's only been around 2 months'.
I talk of people like the horrifically talented Andre Michelle etc.
Such people have blogs with entries like 'FRINGp3.0 - A Python-based Contextual Regex Extroverter Class for AS5.0 - Now with Lebanese Character Mappings and Extant Sybex Debugging'.
What the fuck are you talking about ? Show me a client that has any frigging use for that ?!

i'm not sick of creativity. I'm sick of having it stripped from me by clients, ceo's input, bad art directors, legal, and accounts.

Sure I get burned out, but mostly from pressure of having to come up with a better idea/solution the next time. Which ain't always easy.
A lot of my friends don't have creative jobs, some are blue collar, some are teachers, some are office lackeys, so I feel grateful that I get to use my brain and be creative. I don't often complain.
