great movie. very funny for 1950 when it was made. quirky and well-acted. always puts me in a good mood.
also american beauty. seemingly a dark movie. also i find it very funny and upbeat.
the messages are just be yourself, be happy, be thankful for what you have.... good stuff

Saw another good one a few weeks ago, its a bit though in places but really well acted and quite funny, called 'the savages'. Well worth seeing. Laura Linney is very good, the whole film is just really well done.
