I'm moving in today with my boyfriend (nervous) and I'm trying to figure out a good color scheme for our living room. Our couch is a L shaped one and it's mocha color...but that's all I got right now..
any suggestions???

A nice light slate/green...calming. Buttercream yellow maybe? I think the living room is a place where you would like to go more neutral and let your furniture and accessories punch some color in. Then, it will always be easier to move with the times.

me and my girlfriend are in the same situation, same color/style couch too (except we've been living together for 2 years -- which can be tough). we'll be painting it this weekend i think.
right now we have a neutral tan/yellow color which is pretty boring.

i was thinking about a medium sky blue....but i feel like the blue and brown scheme is totally played. I like it though!! meh..
but since the couch is mocha....i might even go with a mocha and hazelnut and dark plum....
too dark?!?!

i think paint on the walls are kinda important...
it brings a room to life...especially a one bedroom.

If its a rental, a word of advice would be to not paint. Just hang shit tons of picture frames. When you're moving out, you don't want to be painting back to white, trust me.
