Her music isn't that bad, and she's talented.
However, yes, a lot of these artists pretend like they are from somewhere else. Take Snoop Dogg, for example. Some of them are just from the suburbs and then take on a different role and claim they are "inspiring" younger kids. And they probably are. They are just fake in their way of going about it.

Umm... Jaline... I'm not very sure that Snoop Dogg is a good example in this particular case. Long Beach, Cali, Crip (the gang that wears blue), drug charges, murder case(s), etc. That's not fabricated. Does he live good now? Yes. Still do stupid things? Yes. Does he also do a lot of positive for the youth? Yes. In his music? No. But regardless, I'd maybe look for someone else to use as an example for this particular case.

That's basically what I said in my post above. That he is not a "good" model for younger kids, but that people probably believe he is because of how much money and "success" he has now or is perceived to have.

....I don't know that much about him though. I just know there are some artists out there who don't entirely have the lifestyle they are famous for "having".

Regarding Keys' interview in Blender, 50Cent is quoted as saying "It's just not really a bright comment"
When that dude is saying you are dim, you have a problem (called being bat-shit nuts)- True, but can a dumb person really say something intelligent? This is the question...Jaline
