Perhaps, what's disturbing in situations like these is what do you do as an uncle or aunt? Can you shun away your relatives? How do you help that poor kid? I stopped talking to my father a long time ago and I kind of feel somewhat guilty that I wasn't around to be an example to my step brother who's really messed up now.
