Couple years of Krav Maga. Israel fighting and self defense. Great class but can't make class with new office location.
Looking for another school, possibly a new art. Kung Fu, Muay Thai or Wing Chun.- I've heard the Israel fighting stuff is pretty rad. Allot of hey do this they die, do this they can't move, etcJKilla77

ow and i would like to add that I learned so much from martial arts, I started when I was 12 and it helped me get disciplined and have respect for my teachers (besides getting in shape of course).
I love the philosophy aspect of these arts as well..Practising tae kwon do and ving tsun taught me that i can achieve things as long as i practise (a lot). If you fall, you get up. Sometimes you get hit, the next time it's your turn. Lke somebody else said in this thread, one never stops learning - it really begins when you get all the basics at the black belt level (chinese kung fu originally is without rank and it is said to be introduced for westerners to keep em motivated). When the basics are part of your system and can be used without thinking, one really starts developing a very strong instinct and reaction power I experienced (I am not saying I am 'good', just a reflection on my personal development). TKD has great kicks and is very fun but i very much like the minimalistic and staightforward (arms focussed) ving tsun as well. These arts compliment eachother well. There is always more we don't know than what we do know so it's nice to try different styles I think...

Intermediate (5th Grade) Wing Tsun Kung Fu and 3rd Grade Latosa Escrima. Starting Krav next month to see what all the fuss is about.
Oh and please stop calling them 'styles', they're 'systems' of martial art/self-defense. Even in Tai Chi, Yang, Wu, Chen, Sun, etc. are different systems originated from different individuals.
I back up ian's tai chi posture statement, the tai chi guys I've sparred with are straight as sticks with solid stances.

no martial arts here, but my family is deep into it:
1 day they'll let me redo their site, the thing is horrible.

I did Krav Maga for a few years. Had to stop though because the school moved too far away from me. I loved it so much, I thought about making the drive, but unfortunately in the end, the commute to class and my nasty habit of dislocating my shoulder skateboarding (even after surgery to keep it together) pretty much forced me into retirement (maybe). I miss it so much.
