What is the martial art the Jason Bourne does? or is it a mix?
- there was some Shaolin Kung Fu in there (specifically the Chi Na). But I think it was a mixian00

green belt fung fu. I wish I didn't quit. I was so in shape at that time.
I might start Shotokan karate with my daughter who takes judo lessons we will see.

I'm thinking of trying Brazilian Jujitsu in my town. It is pretty expensive though.
Did anyone see the Fight Quest show where the traveled to Isreal to do Krav Maga with the female instructor? That was one of the toughest things I have ever seen. Real combat martial arts.
Overall I really prefer the peaceful aspects of Karate and Aikido as opposed to the macho UFC type of fighting though.

I took tae kwon do, (black belt) and I presently take kendo (shodan)...as far as I have progressed?...Like any art, its a never ending process...- I'd love to do kendo, but seems like too much gear.TheBlueOne

6 years kung fu { TigerDragon style }
taught me alot although would advise Jujitsu because it is basically martial arts without the fancy moves.

I moved my son to a smaller class with less kids. They are good with kids there but are pretty lenient with the young ones at this school. Some of them are way too immature and disruptive. I would tell their parents to bring them back when they have matured. The teacher was very strict at my old school and noone made a noise.

Kung Fu (Wu Shu and a little San Shou) for about six years at Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute...an amazing place with really outstanding instructors.

I just read Karate Do My Way of Life by Funakoshi. He discusses the true meaning of karate in it. He has another book related to the mental and spiritual aspects that I'd like to get.
The proper attitude may be lost in many circles in the US anyway.

Did some Ving Chun all last year, really enjoyed it. My Sifu moved his school so I'll be picking it up again in a few weeks. There is one school in Midtown which looks pretty good and I hope to try out...

I love the idea of Wing Chun being created by a woman to defeat larger opponents, having low practical kicks and the name meaning being Beautiful Springtime if I remember correctly.
- don't forget the gorgeous eye-strikes it's known for...robotron3k

2nd degree black belt in TKD... been thinking a lot about learning some type of Kung Fu. Jujitsu has crossed my mind a lot lately, it just seems so commercial out here; it seems like everybody and their mom takes it, but I'm a firm believer that I will be better than the average schmoe.
