Long Version:
Ah you know what, I was always the person in charge of cars in the household until my Alfa died and sucked out my bank account as it went. Then my missus said we had to get a decent economical reliable family car that Pearl's baby seat would fit into (Couldn't get anything to fit an Alfa) so I said OK she's in charge of cars now and she is... she wears them trousers like a tyrant. I can't even get to the end of a sentence that raises the possibility of me having a lairy car of my own once more... she just shuts me down with a kick to the throat.Short version: No FTO for me Chossy.

had business cards ordered.
the were cut wrong so i call to complain and send them back. i tell them i design it to spec, i even downloaded you template to make sure it was precisely the right size. the preview on the site is perfect. i see the bleed and the trim area. everything looks gold but the cards i have are not centered and the cropping leaves a lot to be desired.
their response: "we cant guarantee that the image will be centered on the card." i should think you should, you fucking twat! everything is perfect including the files i sent and your telling me you cant follow your own specs? cut the card right or give me money back!though not technically good news... i do feel better having vented... i could sure go for a BJ and beer right now

BJ... Beef Jerky?
Shit man, that's fucked. The lesson today though is don't pay for your print until its printed. Anyone wanting payment for print up front is a 'chuck it at the printing machine and get it out of here fast cuz we got a rota' kind of set-up and will almost always get it wrong somewhere along the line.
If its so wrong its of no value to you (on a piece of business presentation/communication appearance is everything) then you should be able to get a re-print or your money back quite easily though I'da thought.
bad luck though 7.34, I know you were looking forward to getting them back.

I think you get a serious hangover attached to the word "deadline" from the print advertising/marketing world, where you could in theory change details right up until the disk goes to the printers. Marketing/media people do not understand that deadline includes BUILD and IMPLEMENTATION on digital and expect to be able to drag heels and make changes right up to this date based on whatever "I've slept on it and God hath blessed me with devine inspiration" antics they care.
