Going at end of April, want to stay in a old place with big windows we can open up. and a balcony. Any recs?
Its good to call everybody grinog.
And buy a sombrero, you'll have a much better time if you blend in.
i enjoyed the Zona Rosa
anyone go tto the Mumedi?
sweeeeeeet. I been to a few places in mexico but not the D.F.
just make sure you stay in the following areas... they are full of history old hotels and a bunch of artist... La Condesa - El Pedregal..
You´ll find there what you are looking for
bring a gun
There are a lot of nice hotels in the historic downtown, I have a friend that has a travel agency there maybe I can get better recs from him and I'll let you know.
zona rosa is nice..
take the toursity looking double-decker bus around for a day. it's cheap and runs the same route around the city...it's a great way to get around during the day.
set a day aside to visit Teotihuacan.
also visit Castillo de Chapultepec (its basically a museum)
Fridas house was cool.
ummm lets see.. zona rosa was nice.
Stay in the Condessa or Roma I perfer Roma
puebla looks nice, but its outside D.F.
Palacio de Bellas Artes is free on sundays.
Zona Rosa: good bars, clubs and hookers.
El Chopo: goth, punk flea market on sundays with live bands.
Tepito: you name it, they have it for sale, software, hardware, weapons, car parts, dope, the works.
Chapultepec: museums, zoo, nice restaurants, bars and clubs, great for walk.
Zocalo: souveneirs and a great place for photos.
Ave. Tlalpan and Colonia Doctores: hookers on every block after 6pm.
If you come to Cuernavaca (1 hour from the city) I might treat you to a beer and show you around downtown, depends if I'm not working those days.
While you are there in Mexico City, let all the locals know that you support all of the "fence jumpers".... they will either buy you unlimited shots of the finest tequila Mexico has to offer, or they will put a bullet in your head, have fun!!!
Whatever you do, try to speak some Spanish. People appreciate the effort and you'll have a nicer experience.
Definitely don't miss Teotihuacan, also Coyoacan is nice, get out of the city toward Cuernavaca with Daro, the country side is beautiful. I loved Tepoztlan.
The food is fantastic but don't drink the tap water! have fun, México is awesome :)
word word. Thanks everyone.
Was looking at the Condessa, but reviews were mixed as most of the people reviewing stayed close to the opening when there was construction going on. any one stayed there recently (post construction debris and noise)?
wordssssss, april has past (yes!) and you never told us how it was.
