I'd like to know what their accessibility policy is
- ukit0
Seems like the buttons at the top could just be text links. I'd also make the links in the main area just flat text. Sometimes when you bevel everything, you reach a point of diminishing returns.

Take #2 and remove:
-the colored buttons at the top
-the colored headers at the bottom
-the big ugly istockphoto watermarked image in the middleAnd I bet it will look a lot better.
- morilla0
maybe more along these lines?

Personally I find them far too consumer focussed and not at all suited to an educational insitution, especially not an arts insitution.
It all looks too salesy and gimmicky.

#1
#2 is more legible, but kids can't read+

#1 reminds me of: http://web.burza.hr/en/ for some reason. probably the colours and the fonts.

#1 is youth oriented, nice... However it's still the Art Institute. Ai will always lack credibility.

1, let crap font go, perhaps tone colours down a little.
less pop i suppose. that means less cock.
more shine less popxx

one.

I agree, it needs to be shinier. Could you do some chrome accents maybe?

is this really for an art institute?
looks too web2.0 to me to be honest. commercial feel. first thinig i noticed. i wonder if that is good.
have you spent time on the concept here?

I'm not sure which one I prefer. Neither of them represent the Art Institute or what the Art iInstitute is about. To me this looks more like a software package.

layout #1 but maybe it's time we dropped the faux reflective surfaces?
- wordssssss0
neither. isnt this for an art school?
- jharbort0
#1 .. less 'teen pop magazine' color pallet though
looking good
- helloant0
but given a choice, 1.

is it just me or are both of those a little too web 2.0ish? I'd think a art/design school would want their site to be a little more out there. Something less webby and more contemporary, like moma.org?
