Anyone know of a good company for getting laser cut stencils around the london area? Thanks in advance : )

Sweet thanks, Cambridgeshire is close enough. Have you ever used them before?

No, but I've done a lot of research around the subject, as it's something I'm interested in getting into, and these guys come up quite a lot. They were the ones who did the recent laser-cut cover for Creative Review.

It depends on what you're after, are you giving them away as printed pieces or are you planning on actually stencilling with them yourself?
If its one off pieces you're after try some digital printers, I got some done by a digi printer in dublin, easier that hand cutting and I was just using them to spray paint personalised folders and boxes, so they didn't have to be high quality. They could do it up to 300gsm.

Re-Usable Stencils for spray paint stenciling, on some vinyl or plastic for durability, mostly for brand mark and logotype combos for the club i work for. I had a url for a web based service but can't remember anything to help me find it...
- If you do find it, please forward it on to me.detritus
- If you want low cost, I'd talk to a decent digital printer in your area, as you won't need many. Ask about their materials.ian
- cost's not such an issue, just getting high quality type cut, no way i'm it doing by hand : )dr_pangloss

Have just spoken to the on the phone and am trying to get a quote together, any advise on the best material to do this on, some kind of vinyl / plastic? roughly 1mm? what do people think? Thanks for the help btw, have just updated my email as the old one stopped working : )

First, I'd ask if thhey have any material they would recommend (a lot of printers keep some stock in house, therefore it'll work out cheaper, plus they won't have any problems running it through their machines)
However, if they don't, try Priplak, it can go through 4 colour press and comes in a variety of weights, you should find something useful in there. http://www.priplak.com/
- Sweet! Have sent their tech guy a email asking for advice so hopefully they will have a solution : )dr_pangloss

You want me to send that again?
Vinyl's a no no - environmentally unsound and I think it creates bad fumes when burned so I don't *think* laser cutters will go near it.
Just ask them what they'd recommend - if it's just a one-off job, they might have a suitable scrap around the warehouse they can use (and reduce your cost!)
- yes please : ) have sent you mail with my proper address.dr_pangloss

Yeah, i just asked their tech guy what they had that was cheap and would work... The price depends on the detail of the design though so i expect the logos would be reasonable but the type may be a bit more pricey...
