I'm from Ohio... so far, truly embarrassed.
- rainman, you have let me downemukid
- Hey... I've only got one vote... wish it was worth more.rainman
- Not that it's your fault, but Ohio's shame was never more infinite than in 2004.CyBrain
- believe me... the tears were shed back then. Many...rainman
- The shame of Napoleon Dynamite? Oh wait, that was Idaho...Jaline

Scuttlebut is that Clinton is going to sue over Texas saying Obama people "locked out" clinton voters. Ah, I see..Hillary never loses, does she. So the Clinton team spin...They won Ohio, so it counts. Obama looks to be heading for a win in Texas and of course that won't count.
- ukit0
If Hillary loses Texas it's gonna be tough going for her. Bill Clinton said a week ago that she had to win both.
- colin_s0
clinton will be able to use the whole "you have to win ohio to win the presidency" thing to keep in the race regardless of texas, so then she can go on to penn.
there was a *rumor* floating of legal action about the way texas is gerrymandered if she were to lose here. i dunno, at the local caucus in austin there was a whole lot of obama support so i'm hoping that goes national.
- CyBrain0
Just one question. Is Texas a winner-take-all state? (Does the winner get them all or do they split up the delegates like some of the other states?)
- All Dem races split the delegates...only the Republicans are winner take all..TheBlueOne
- ukit0
None of the Democratic primaries are winner take all, except for Puerto Rico I think.

McCain reads from a teleprompter, right?
He has to be doing that.If so, that's what has always made him seem so fake and lacking. I'm pretty sure that Obama and Hillary don't do that. McCain just comes off as a fake-ass actor reading someone else's agenda. It makes me want to puke. The feeling I get from his voice... forget it. fuck. just watching this guy and his rhetoric and war mongering makes me want to fucking smash something!
- ya. he definitely does read everything off.********
- and also i hate him.********
- but his wife... different story.********
- his wife... why? she looks like a witch.mg33

It's like being a five year old being talked to by some adult with that "oh, it's ok, you're young and stupid and don't know any better."

So according to exit polls, Obama won the under-65 vote in all four states.
Thank you old baby boomer jackasses for giving us Bush and trying to maintain an imperial presidency by sticking a clinton back in there. Fucking wasteland of a generation...
- Good point. Noone says that..nice.********
- BlueOne, I find myself agreeing with you over and over. *See every religious post.duckofrubber

what i'd like to know is why, after twice deciding to elect ol' dubya, we give ohio any power at all in the electoral process.
- mg330
Watching on a DVR.
Did he actually just say "the American people's patience is at an end for politicians who favor ambition over principle and for partisanship that is less a contest of ideas than an unincivil brawl over the spoils of power. my friends..."
WTF? Is he aware of what party he's from? Is he aware that Bush's own private agenda has pretty much dictated the direction of this country for more than 7 years? That people like Karl Rove and others were basically given free reign to do whatever the hell they wanted and sidestep government procedure and laws?
WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT.
- I remember when that kinda talk used to get me called a communist around these parts...mrdobolina

LOUD NOISES!

I'm telling you, if it's Hillary vs. McCain in the general my plans to move to Japan or Brazil get green lighted. I'll look forward to telling my grandchildren "Yeah, your granpappy saw the writing on the wall and got off that sinking ship while the getting was good..."
- mg330
Sorry for so many posts, but this line of his was not the kind of thing I want to watch someone read from a telepromoter:
"So stand up with me my friends, stand up and fight [with a slight growl and grit of dental plate] for America, for her strength, for her ideals, and for her future. The contest begins tonight."
Lame. Such an inspiring line if not read from a machine containing text written by someone else. I don't think McCain could have any honest conviction in a speech if it was handed to him on a plate.
