I hate what the web medium has become. I have high hopes for it's potential though... oh hey, fellow Connecticut dweller.

I hate web design when its formulaic and driven by the technological channeling of possibilities. I love it when a website is truly an amazing experience without being indulgent and annoying arse.
Either way though, its always going to be the future, and print is always going to be the past.
The big problem with creativity and the creative industries across the board at the moment is that idiosynchacy and exresive personality in work are out of fashion. There's a very keenly defined set of parameters that decree something to be great or not great in both web and print. So many of the very 'coolest' design companies practising at the moment have bodies of work that are entirely interchangeable. I wonder what any of them would be doing without their great design pioneer anthologies to rely on.
- on a related note your website is indulgent and annoying arse, ya arse... WOOOO! SATURDAY BITCHES!!!734

This is why I design websites in InDesign and hire somebody to get shoulder-deep in the scatapoo that is Flash or Dreamweaver.
By the why, who the hell came up with Dreamweaver? Some peyote smoking Apache?

i loathe when people want to print my web pages. they bitch and moan and tell me that it gets cropped or clipped (and they are nearly always wrong anyway, because i test them on my printer just for the sake of argument)
1. the web is not for print. you want to print something so bad, have marketing design a brochure / poster / mailer for you. web pages are not optimized for print and shouldnt be, its a separate media.
2. why am i wasting my time coding a website when all you want is a piece of paper. the purpose of a website is so people anywhere with an internet connection can get information on you / your company. you want a do this with print? see item 1.

if not for the internet id probably have many more friends...maybe not. i was just distressed with flash and dreamweaver at that moment. however, my love for print will never die, the reality of it means so much more, then click click.
