"Drunk" Button?

The bar is translucent in Leopard, it's the blurred wallpaper showing beneath. Since the 10.5.2 update you can switch it off in the settings, before that you needed to type a line in terminal.

HaHa DOH.
Thanks Rafalski

Well.. don't be so hard on yourself :) It wasn't as easy to guess as it would've been had only translucency been in action. Blur effect is added to wallpaper beneath the bar which makes it look unnatural and generally wtf :)

Ah, yes. The famed Leopard "advancements".
Make menu bar opaque:
sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/co... 'EnvironmentVariables' -dict 'CI_NO_BACKGROUND_IMAGE' 0.62Make menu bar translucent again:
sudo defaults delete /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/co... 'EnvironmentVariables'If it doesn't work because of my copying/pasting skills, go here:

What's everyone's problem with the transparent menu bar? All my friends hate it, but I happen to prefer it. I miss the rounded corners though. :\
- really depends on your desktop background/color, can be unreadablestupidresponse
