i have an iphone as an iorganizer plus mp3 and it works damn well. only thing i hardly use it for is phoning, have my nokia still.

i have the nokia n73 it does everything the iphone does, and it has flash, has a 3.9 mega pixel Carl Zeiss Tessar camera and video. also its a world phone and it can transform into a Jaguar!!

I am tempted to upgrade to a 16 gig one now and get rid of the old ipod which I am using as a home stereo only anyway.
Who am I fooling, I won't part with the old iPod. Not only it's a good stereo deck, It's the best portable drive I had as well.

After the initial hype is gone, all other phone companies have products with these same features. not to say the iphone is bad, just that it doesn't really do things that other phones can't

It does, dobs. The UX is unprecedented. I recommend reading Apple Human Interface Guidelines, where their UI/UX principles are explained.

It does do things other phones can't. At the same time, things you would think would be included for the price are not. Same with the iPod. The interface, support, accessories, etc. are worth buying the iPod for, but there are other MP3 players that are better, in general.

the iphone/ipod touch can barely get their native graphics to animate smoothly. getting flash to run with all of it's updates is highly unlikely.

I'll never get a mobile phone that can do more than receive/make phone calls and text messages. I don't need to check mail, surf the net, take pics or video or listen to music on a goddam phone, that's why I have a computer for.
