this show has started to lose me recently. i dug the beginning of this season, but the past couple episodes have been pretty bad.

I was just about to say the same, colin_s. I was doodling whilst watching it, barely noticed it go by and hardly registered the end at all.
myeh.
- yeah, it was definately a setup or filler episode. Not the best, bt probably ultimately necessarylocustsloth

That was an intense episode. i can kinda see why everyone is so down on it, but i was really into it. It was a different kind of episode. It didn't solve any of the mythology, it didn't add any mythology. i guess it was another setup episode, but better than the last, in my opinion, purely for the intensity. At this point in the show i wouldn't have been surprised if they had executed Sayid. The island being what it is i doubt he would have stayed dead for long.
i don't think what Sayid did in the end will change anything any more than Sawyer and company popping up in 1977 Dharmaville did. What i think it may do is allow someone ELSE to alter the course of events. The only person, according to Faraday (and, for real, WTF happened to him?!?!) said COULD alter things. And that's Desmond. If and how he gets to 1977 i have no idea. But i'm guessing we see him in the finale (which, the producers have revealed, is titled "The Incident") and he gives us the cliffhanger.

It wasn't that bad, agreed.
- THANK you. Even the darkufo blog/recap thing was down on it. i really dug itlocustsloth

"Whatever Happened, Happened" was ok. i'm kinda in the place where i'm having faith that all these episodes will be necessary for future episodes to be as good as the hopefully will be. At least we found out what happened to Aaron (sort of. i mean she just left him in the room alone)
Three really great moments in this one:
1) Hurley's cross-armed, professorial looking gotcha moment when he and Miles are talking about time travel
2) When Kate leaves Aaron in the motel room. i know he's not hers, but after raiding him for 3 yrs, i'm sure she felt like he was. To voluntarily leave your child is absolutely heartbreaking and i hope i never have to do it myself cause i do believe it'd be the end of me
3) The last scene (of course). i've always liked Locke, even when he seemingly went loopy for a bit. And this is even better. This is Locke reborn. He's traded his bowie knife for a nice suit, but he's just as confident and in command as when he was hunting boar. Adn to have Ben be in a position of not knowing or understanding why he's seeing what he's seeing, another rare moment when he doesn't have control, is just icing on the cake.

i just started Season 3 monday. Kinda cool.

it may seem to have become dumb, convoluted and cheesy but it always was! Cool things are happening and it IS coming to a point especially because the series has a definite end date and a certain number of episodes left. Retarded dialog, weird writing crutches and everything else aside, this is a pretty cool show.

Huge Pile of Shit.

I really like the recurring joke with Sayid, in how he has absolutely no luck with women. Any time a woman gets involved with him, it all goes to hell:
-The chick he loved: had to torture her, didn't see her for years, finally marries her, she's killed inside of a year.
-Shannon: Shot right before he was gonna sleep with her
-Chick he met while being an assassin: turns out SHE was an assassin, he shoots her
-Chick in the bar: bounty hunter who beats him up and captures him

This show is such a fucking joke now. Sayid becomes an invincible hitman who kills people with his legs over the past few seasons, yet when he wants to kill young Ben, he pops a random shot into his chest rather than really sealing the deal.
Then, of course, we can lovely little contrived Hurley+Miles conversations that serve no other purpose than to spoon-feed the viewers.
Oh, right, then the clever dialogue from the likes of Richard Alpert.
"What's going to happen to him?"
"Well, first off.. he's not going to remember this at all" [why the fuck would anyone care about this? oh right, cover a plot hole with a single inane remark], "and also, he'll lose his innocence forever."
Cool, because, that totally explains why Ben is not innocent now. Because we really needed some hackneyed new reason for Ben turning into a ruthless mastermind villain for the show. Also funny that Richard clearly admits he'll lose his innocence, as did all of the Others, confirming they're... not innocent. Wow that's... that's deep.
- Being cynical about a TV show is a HUGE waste of time and effort, Just turn it offlocustsloth
- Hurley is supposed to be "us", btw.harlequino
- Sayid actually shot him in the heart, but in the next episode they cheated and switched it to the other side of his chest, Plus, being Sayid, he would have put one in the head just to be sure.albo

AUSTIN
So, Basil, if I travel back to 1969
and I was frozen in 1967, I could go
look at my frozen self. But, if I'm
still frozen in 1967, how could I
have been unthawed in the 90's and
traveled back to the Sixties?
(goes cross-eyed)
Oh, no, I've gone cross-eyed.BASIL EXPOSITION
(to camera)I suggest you don't worry about those
things and just enjoy yourself.

Sawyer always looks dirty no matter what, whereas Jack and all the females look very clean. Must be because he's in that uniform all day, and has the scruff (whereas Jack was more hobo-ish and depressed in his own home, away from the island). And, of course, the females have to be that way. I remember when Kate only had one green shirt to wear.
- Still she had shaved armpits and makeup even in the cage.raf

Eloise, that bitch!
I like her, and I love character development.
Thank goodness there are no Sylars in this show.
- harlequino0
I really hope that's not the end of Farraday. Next to Ben and Hurley, he's my favorite character right now.
So Farraday is also Penny's half-brother. Not shocking, was expecting that. I wonder if it's supposed to be another recurring gag in how people wind up being related, their parents apparently really got around, off-island and on.
- juhls0
That aspect is exactly like a soap opera, harle, but I guess that's another way you can explain how people got on the island again. Everything is connected.
Farraday is great, I agree.
My favourite characters change all the time. Some of them are "dead" :/
