Dude that seriously made my night! Cards is the epitome of the gnar.
And the Daewon stuff..great memories...really interesting to watch him talk about it all now.
...But also makes me feel old.

He broke his back on a tour in Australia. If I remember correctly they were following their guide who was driving a van with a trailer and he ran up to the driver side to say something and they didn't see him and proceeded to turn left. I guess you could say he got caught under the jackknife and the trailer ran over his back.

Just finished catching up on the last couple episodes. Such an inspiring story and a breath of fresh air into an industry that has come so far from its roots. Cardiel is a true legend.

Interesting. I feel at a loss for connection to the content of shit like this sometimes because I never was a skater or into that scene really. Every other day some designer or artist-type is talking about how they skated back in the day and listened to punk music. HAHA, I played football and listened to hardcore rap music. But hey, here we all are!
On the other hand, that Cardiel quote of "...just do something" was awesome.

His opening part in Transworld's Sight Unseen video is magic.

Looks promising. How'd he break his back?
