so, is it quite obvious that i don't really have any idea about print yet?
- NewElpaso0
cause i want to know who im talking to - rather than scouring the site for information.
mind you it tends to be inmportant for studios/companies with more than one person. so you can quickly tell whos business cards you got in your hand.
but for a lone freelancer might not be the same.
also .. it makes it easier to digest information if it has some hierarchy. rather than a lump of same looking text.
- what if they forget your name though? best have it on there I reckonkelpie

a little bolder on the reversed-text to help with the red bleeding into the white.
- No. let the printer handle the trapping.gramme
- traps on a 1 color job?johndiggity
- maybe the term there isn't trapping, what I mean is if the letters need a slight stroke around them...gramme
- ...then let the printer handle that since only they can predict ink gain.gramme

what should I do for the next month then?
- neue75_bold0
it looks good to me. If you gave it to me without any of the above mentioned frills I'd think you were a good designer with restraint...
of course you can keep playing with the same layout but different typefaces and type combinations, colourways, etc... You could try adding address info in order to use 2 columns of text... but do you really want to?
What do you think sktles? Would you be stoked if I gave this to you as my card? Should you be stoked over something like a business card? Should your contact information be treated as something so precious?
- i just need a card so some cunt has my email if they need it. simple as that really.********

skt:
I like it, and agree w/ comments about hyphen.
I'd recommend flopping the orientation of your logotype on the red side, so it's right oriented, flush right...sort of mirroring rather than copying the front side.
I believe if you do that and your printer can make the dies small enough, you can engrave both sides. If not, I would recommend at least engraving the white side and maybe just litho on the red...of course you know it'll be a 2x flood. A design that simple wants some texture, imho.
- have you looked at different sizes? Nothing too boutiquy, mind you...just maybe a bit slimmer.gramme

gramme, i will refer you to my post at the top of this page...
