Always wondered what happened to this guy, his drawings were everywhere for a while and did some cool animations.
Found this from an old thread on here http://www.heavy-backpack.com/ar…

Seems he runs this now with his wife, https://fort-kids.com/
Good to see him still making doodles
-- Blimey, I had forgotten about him. I used to spend ages on his site years ago getting inspired.breadlegz

- @woowahesque I reckon most of them were done in the 70's.PhanLo
- that adds up then. I found chess quite boring compared to those illustrations!woowahesque

- you know about The Studio, right? It was a very small world in the 70s and everyone went through that apartment.MrAbominable
- JJ's painted work was always Frazetta-lite. The drawings were for me where he excelled. 'I'm Age' and the other one.MrAbominable
- I eventually got the Studio book, love it.PhanLo
- ^Kent Williams, John J Muth, and George Pratt are all the immediate generation idolizing Jones. You prolly know them all but... chatting.MrAbominable
- immediate "following"MrAbominable
- @MrAbominable really love George Pratt's work, I listened to a really good podcast with him a while back. Will look it outPhanLo
- It's on here https://archive.org/… couldn't find a direct link. those guys loved the Studio era...PhanLo
- ...learned so much from those interviews about artists I might never have known. Sergio Toppi, Alberto Breccia, José Muñoz so many good artistsPhanLo
- thanks for the link. will check. Williams/Muth/Pratt were all friends of Jones. Pratt is an odder duck and it took him longer to find success. I'm glad heMrAbominable
- did, though. They all shared the same Rep, who some of my classmates at ACCD went to work with. Eventually Dave McKean and Greg Spalenka sort of joined theMrAbominable
- same circle, but as a sort of 3rd generation. Not much of a lineage to JJ or PreRaphaelites at that point.MrAbominable
