I need to create a 50% transparency in paintshop pro to be used as a small logo on the bottom of televisions (NTSC). does anyone know how to do this? I am sure that PSPro does not allow this. Please help!

So...paintshop is a reality, not a myth from the dim recesses of the late 80's?

i don't mean to beat a dead horse, but how about this link?:

we use CS3 here too, but we use paintshop pro to
create the small bitmap graphics like the VH1 logo
that is always present in the bottom corner during
shows and (sometimes actual music vids)

if you can only work with a full transp background you may have to resort to a dotted matrix (1,0,1,etc) to achieve something similar to 50% transparency.

Follow that tutorial but make the white areas of the mask 50% gray.
White = 100% (solid)
Black = 0% (transparent)
...so, shades of gray inbetween will be semi-transparent. Therefore, use 50% grey for 50% transparency.That'd be my best guess anyway.
- yes, this is what i meant.Corvo
- No it's not! You were talking about using a 1-0-1-0... matrix of solid pixels to *simulate* transparency :pthismanslife

So why can you not use Photoshop, any reason.

Why does it have to be Paintshop though? Doesn't Photoshop have the same output in the end?

Yeah, why use Paintshop if you have CS3?
