i have one of the really really old ones. i lost the pen and you can't buy replacement ones, hah. doubt it'd even work with leopard anyway.
have fun with your's though. they come in handy
- Most of the new pens work with the old tablets, and generally the latest driver update covers nearly all models.Nathan_Adams

yup i'm 1 month in on my intuos3 SE 9x12 and fully tabletized.. luv it. nice to actually have to move my arm while working at the screen.
only complaint is with web browsing and scrolling some windows it sometimes gets a little shifty.. but maybe i've got pen settings too sensitive.. ?

I just upgraded to a 6x8 intuos3 from a intuos2 and couldn't be happier with it.
I wish the mouse had greater precision as I'd much rather not have to work around the tablet area with the laser mouse. Otherwise its fantastic. Especially the zoom in/out strip which fit nicely into my workflow.
Highly recommended. And having had a 12x12 intuos2 beforehand, I suggest the 6x8 over the larger models since I found the extra space to be unnecessary. Anyway, happy photoshoping.

using mine now too. love it!

I've been using my 4x5 graphire 2 now for a while trying to stave off the tunnels. I like it ok but it seems a bit restrictive. in your experience is it worth shelling out the 320 to upgrade?

I need a new Wacom, I have had mine for about 8 years now, it is still working like a chap ,and it been used as a bear mat, and taking a couple of good hits over the years.

They are great simple as that. Josimarx got one and thought it was shite but it's all about preferences yo! set them up for yourself correctly and your living the dream yo!.

* bump...
Any Wacom users out there experience the scroll bar shake I previously mentioned? Just doing some investigating and dicking with settings... starting to wonder if maybe it's an issue with my tablet.
I occasionally get a shifty/ very rapid vertical shaking effect when i click and hold the scrollbar steady. only seems to happen with some apps.. most noticeable in itunes I think.

i could not get used to the little graphire at all. i was using a 12x12 at work and ending up buying a 9x12 for my home and i love it - mind you i still browse the net with the mouse i use the tablet quite a bit - im also left handed so i can kinda use both at the same time
- any shaking like i describe above? cursor also rattles slightly when i leave the mouse on tablet.horton

oh and no shake here
- k thx. weird. and fck. i really don't wanna deal with a warranty issue.horton

anyone got a cintiq (there is a new small one out)

horton: sometimes I have the scroll shakes too on my intuos3, I think it's due to something like dust or whatever on the scroll bar. the only solution for it that I found is unplug the tablet and plug it back in...

6x8 - thats around A5 size? Do you find that restrictive for graphic/illustration work? I will be getting a wacom in the next few months and am weighing up between size and possibly portability.

@ horton
this might sound silly but, if you've got your regular mouse still plugged in along with your tablet, you computer will still read both and that can cause the shakes. unplug your mouse.
if your wacom mouse is nearby your tablet, it might be reading that too. i've had both happen to me. strange for sure.
- problems sorted, seemed to be all related to frequency interference from my display.. common issue apparently.horton

i like my intuos but would love a Cintiq
