i've heard that people who are vegans should talk to a nutritionist if they plan on having kids. they say that while adults can do well on this type of diet its not very well suited for infants or children who are growing and need protein from meat and dairy to develop normally.
see that?... veganism is bad for you

I fell off the wagon at my sisters wedding 10 years ago!
She had 10' shirmp cocktail table and an open bar.
Sounds like a recipe for disaster but I was just drunk and hungry enough to chow down and I haven't looked back since. The down side being I've gained at least 20lbs since then and my left arm is continuously going numb.

what exactly are the health benefits of being a vegetarian or vegan?
- Jaline0
My friends all changed from vegetarians to meat-eaters within a few years of being in university. They claim it's because they don't want to make a fuss when ordering food or going to other people's houses, but we all know it's really because meat is soooo gooood.

i went 15 or 16 years without eating meat. total vegetarian, even was vegan on and off for a year or so (yuck)
then one year before going to the beach for vacation i decided i didnt want to miss out on awesome fresh seafood. god DAMN shrimp are tasty.
then a few years later i couldnt figure out why i was avoiding chicken so i dove in last thanksgiving and gave in to poultry. fantastic.
im pretty happy where i am with just poultry/fish on the meat menu.
turkey bacon is jesus, chicken wings are god. amen.

pretty self-explanatory;
- take a whole turkey, intact, patted dry
- submerge in boiling oil until internal temp reaches 170F
- let cool for 20 minutes
- should take ~ 24 minutes.- You need the stainless bucket and other gear too, right?Mimio
- ideally, you can borrow mine.mrdobolina
- it is called a 'stock pot' and a 'tripod burner', but yes- you will need these items.madirish
- what if the burner has four-sides, smaaaaht guy?mrdobolina
- then it was build by a republican. burn it.madirish

i just roasted a 17 pound fresh ham this past weekend funny enough, but this preparation looks very enticing as well:

hard to say.
i've asked numerous doctors the same question. all responded saying that being a vegetarian/vegan really has no health benefits. they all agreed that eating too much meat is bad for you but not eating any meat wasn't going to make you live longer or anything like that.
in the end it's the same thing as always. moderation.

I remember talking to some vegan nazi on some kinda whacked out macro biotic diet or some shit. I couldn't understand half the shit he was babbling but he did say "You know lemons and pure maple syrup are all the body needs..."
And I had to stop him there and ask him "So, those two things are good for the human body?"
"Oh yeah, they're great. It's what the body is designed to process.."
"So where in human kinds evolutionary environment was there a maple tree growing next to a lemon tree exactly?"
Stupid vegan just stared at me. I blew his mind there with my dropped logic.
Then I asked him if he wanted some bacon...

one thing i've personal noticed is that my vegetarian/vegan friends are sick waaaaay more often than my meat eating friends.

I usually just cook fish and chicken but I did cook some prime rib for xmas. I'll never do that again! It was a bloody mess. I like my meat dead not red.
