I'm going to Thailand at the end of February. When do you think the most strategic time to buy that shit is?
I don't usually plan this far ahead. When will the airline tickets be going UP UP UP?
I am also going to Cairo from there, and from Cairo to Lisbon...
I've been using Kayak.com - any other real good airline ticket sites?
THANK YOU TWICE!

good call on kayak. good site. i used it too. the key to getting tickets is to get them in advance. other than that, i think luck is the other huge factor. good luck.

http://www.asaptickets.com/
and
http://www.bookingbuddy.com/will do you well. ASAP is pretty much international transport (read: OUTside the U.S.) focused, so it might be more on point for what you are looking for.

Is that ASAP link definitely correct, it kind of looks like one of those generic URL's filled with advertisements.. just double checking.

flying to thailand is expensive, i think there's almost no way around it. unless you fly in a cargo jet.

grafiske, are you doing an around the world trip?
- grafiske0
Its only 700 bucks one way.
I guess I am doing an around the world trip, but on accident.
I started looking into "Around the world" flights" but that shit is overwhelming so far...

where in thailand are you going?

I will start in Bangkok, but I want to spend ample time in weird obscure areas, including beaches learning to surf.. any thoughts are more than welcome on that front

For anyone interested, or for future searches... I ended up getting a round trip ticket for 1100 through BT-Store.com
Pretty good deals. On All Nippon Airline.
