Saw it last night.
Nice simple idea – I knew it was going to be JL right from the outset. It was so one brand – Congrats to who ever did it... Anyone?

Yeah, I saw it the other night and knew it was John Lewis from the first second with the grey floor which is strange as I can't afford to shop there but the branding was spot on.
Don't know who did it though.

it's cool... I'd rip it...

very nice, the choreography of all the people constructing the thing and the camera around them is beautifully done, like a dance

I found myself trying to guess what it was before it was complete. Would be good if they did a series.
Skt – You done yet?

Am I the only one here thinking that this Ad is not that great, at all.
If they manage to produce this image without CGI, then I would take my hat off and say well done.
The idea has been done before, and the final colour is the AD are just plain bloody bad.

(Nov 16 07, 01:54)I'm not sure that the 'idea' that a collection of (arbitrary) objects can create a silhouette of something (also arbitrary) else is strong enough to base an entire commercial on.
There's not really any strong conceptual link between the objects and the final silhouette either for me.
Also is a woman and dog looking vaguely 'wintry' all that that startling as a final image especially after giving the game away half way through?
- kelpie0
yup, noble and webster shit on John Lewis

true.. disappointing really..
could have done some nice print ads if they had better shadows.
