(Nov 4 07, 13:56)Well, Ii hope you're feeling better now.
But pray tell me about that drop in Chicago. Not the one you concocted right now - but that big one for public display called the "mercury drop".
I'm actually curious of what that is made from given it seems so perfect in the pictures I've seen.
I would visit if it didn't cost so much to board from where I'm standing.

drop = Lloyd's pint.
...
LOL.
Stop thinking about it Al Capone. Tell me about the drop.

Well you lost me too.
I thought the odds of being in Chicago were at least 1-31 for not missing it.
If you're not kidding, here's the news: there's a nice sculpture piece in your city called the "mercury drop" which has raised some interest around the world.
Namely, how was it made to look so perfect?
just posted because I thought you were in Chicago.

did they ever finish the inside of it? last time I was there the inside had disjointed metallic plates.

inside or underneath?
not sure if you can go inside it.
i know you can walk underneath it. i have a picture at home standing directly in the center underneath, the distortion it created was amazing.
it's like a carnival mirror times a hundred. it's amazing.

it's not called the 'mercury drop'
it's called 'the bean'
sideways it looks like (and is) in the shape of a big bean
