just noticed I have a black dead pixel on my laptop - actually slightly smaller than a pixel, which is even more weird @:/

ok just googled-found there are white dead pixels and black dead pixels - it has to do with certain colours getting broken for that pixel.

i have a sony - they only service with at least three.
i have only 6 months left to get 2 more pixels dead and get a new laptop.

Black pixel = dead pixel
White pixel = stuck pixelThere are apps that you can put under the dead pixel on your screen that will quickly flash red green and blue. If you leave them for a long period of time, (a few hours) these stuck pixels will very often be coaxed into working again. It doesn't work every time though.

Rub it if its dead. Preferably with a soft slightly damp cloth to reduce any chance of scratching.
