i like silly watches that are hard to tell time on, and aren't worn by every person on the street...but apparently a bunch of people like watches that cost as much as a:
1. down payment on a house
2. a car
3. an organ transplantyou can call my watch collection ridiculous, but you can't call it life saving by any means.

watches chain you to the whips of time. i don't wear one. i am free.

I got the hook up when it comes to watches. My girlfriends dad owns a watch factory haha. Yet I still rock nixons :p

I'd prefer to think of a really good watch as an heirloom, something to pass on to the kids.

"here you go grandson. this was the watch i wore on my wedding day!"
*hands kid a bright orange watch made out of pvc...
"see here: it can play mp3's and video!"
hahaha. yeah, probably not the same reaction i would get if i handed him a rolex :)

I've scared a few girls away by telling them when I get them that engagement ring, for a wedding present I expect them to spend at least 1/2 as much on a watch as my wedding gift. They laugh and say yeah right... then they learn I'm only half kidding.

hehe!
my wife still owes me an Omega Speedmaster.. that was the agreement..
a ring for a watch.. pretty fair really, she gets off alot lighter than me.

royboy,
Chopard Mille miglia, an excellent choice! my buddy has it and it's really beautiful watch.Omega is just a bit too common. I personally have no interest in buying Omega, Rolex, or Tag.
