So I've got a kick ass music collection but it's not on vinyl.
Obviously technology has allowed people to use MP3s for DJ-ing. I'd like to start with a simple cross fader program to transition between songs.
Anyone reccomend something USB based?
Also maybe some programs to do beat matching so i can make cool shit like Diplo?

Just download a couple mixes from Blentwell.com and hunch over the laptop pretending like you are really tweaking some shit while you are playing them in Winamp and you will get blowjobs from groupies in no time. Trust me.

(Oct 25 07, 11:10)I have a good sense of rhythm and notes and the fundamentals of music - i've been in several bands and listento tons of music from all different genes.
I could definitely handle a night at a local bar or something. I'm not looking to be flash - just play out and make people dance.
Not for hire for 50th anniversaries, bat mitzvahs, bar mitzvahs, or sweet 16s.

(Oct 25 07, 11:17)Thats ok tasty, you are one in a million, you have a musician's background so you don't fit the basic profile of a dj.
