O.M.G.
Most brutal interview ever, and I'm not just saying that.

the interview wasn't very good to begin with..

Maybe they don't care, but I think many artists have the opportunity to refine their interview answering skills by speaking with someone and practicing beforehand.
They seem tired.
Pretty bad though.

Someone in the comments wrote that the interviewer asked questions that lead nowhere, like this one:
"How do you create music, do you just sit down and play?"
Somewhat true, since this leads to a yes or no question (not something you should be doing as an interviewer). However, the band could've answered more elaborately.
It's both parties' fault.
I am interviewing an editor / broadcaster on Tuesday. Hope it goes well, haha.

That being said, it's the interviewers responsibility to make the questions as unique and as broad as possible so as not to bore the person being interviewed, and in order to allow them [the one being interviewed] to go wherever they want before leading them back to the goal.
The interviewer steers, the interviewee paddles.
The one good thing the interviewer did was keep the questions short and concise. Both parties didn't try hard enough.
