but since it spins so fast your mind cant decifer the difference but a record needle doesnt miss anything.

MP3s are fast, easy, and cheap. I don't have an ear for detail so I could care less if I'm listening to a 128k or 320k bitrate file. I'm not at all interested in investing the hundreds upon hundreds, or indeed thousands, to "hear" something that to me is totally imperceptible anyway.
That said, I don't *totally* cheap out, either. The least I can do is put on a $50 pair of headphones because although I can't tell the difference between OK and great quality, I sure can tell between OK and crap.
In other words:
it's completely subjective

well..andy you used some mighty big words there...it seems you never clean your rekkids so dont complain to me that you just dont get the whys about analog vs digital.
and if you have problems with therekkids skipping put a nickle on top of the needle.
...jaline there is a difference...but for those that want to believe there is not a difference there is a saying for that and that is the argument is too old and too dumb when there is facts that prove why analog is purer sound and the needle hits every mark thaat the lazer does not.
thats a fact, it has nothing to do with what you hear if the lazer is hitting every note...
but with the ipod headphone made for ditgital music one cant tell as that sound is just wrong.
but dont listen to me, go ask a dj who spins the rekkids all day and see what they say...

hey tp! nice linkage...there was a BoomBox thread not too long ago where all the links from that site were posted and so many more of just boomboxes!!!
if you're interested in seeing the pics id suggest you to search it...some super cool images and data about the great boom boxes from the 70s til the 80s.

Hey there E! I'll search for it. I've always had a thing for boomboxes. When I was a kid, I had one that I had rigged with an additional four speakers. AC/DC just sounded better on it. Ha!

The Bose ear buds are the sh*t! I've had 'em for a couple of months - good investment.
Digital is to Music like one of those professional cleaning services is to your house.
At first, you're really impressed with your brand new pristine environment, but a couple of days later you realize you've gotten rid of some stuff you probably should have kept.
That said, so much of the content created these days is already completely bereft of any human touch. It was never analogue in the first place so mp3 compression makes little difference.

too bad it must weigh a good amount as i asked leigh to take a pic with it on his shoulders and he said he cant lift it as its sooo heavy, but man its so dope!!! i have a few crappy boom boxes that all together they dont compare. he is a lucky kid!!
