My first time there! Yeepie. What should i expect?! Where should i go?
- k0na_an0k0
yahoo! first timer... alright!
i love vegas.
expect: insanity
where should you go: everywhere
walk the strip. see the bellagio fountain. don't waste your time with ghost bar, rain, or any of the clubs at the palms, the lines will be 300 people deep. when a cabbie hands you 'vip passes' they are not vip passes. they hand that shit out to everyone, so you go to the place thinking you got vip and there are 200 other people in front of you who are 'vip'
hit the rino if you're looking for a strip club. if not stay the fuck away.
any girl you meet at 3am that wants you and it seems too good to be true, it is, she's a hooker.
not sure if you're big into gambling, but the flamingo has great 3 card poker/let it ride tables for $15. it combines both games into one. you get delt 3 cards and play 3 card poker from that hand, as well as playing off two cards from the dealer. you can win fast and big, or you can lose fast and big depending on your luck.
have fun dude. wish i was there.

if you happen to see Grissom, tell him I said 'hi'.
- joyride0
When you goin?
I'll be out the week of Oct. 31 - that weekend...
And what koNa said... i love to watch the hookers in the cashino workin' it.
My friends and I place bets on if a girl is a hooker or not, then we send over some bait.
all in all, just have fun, and don't expect anything.

pick up some flyers on the main strip, go back to your hotel and call crystal & monique over.
Rinse(your willy) & repeat

if you like sports:
sportsbooks that suck:
ny ny. mgm. monte carlo.sportsbooks that are good:
caesars palace. bellagio. wynn (i think). venetian. treasure island (although i wouldn't recommend gambling there. that place sucks)
- tommyo0
I'm going there this weekend...family stuff though.
- marychain0
Um...Vegas sucks...actually I guess I just had a bad experience...everybody else loves it....but I can't imagine ever going there again.
- k0na_an0k0
haha. what happened marychain?

I don't get it either. It seems like amature hour there , or like everyone just got let out for recess like people have never been out before in their lives.
It might have something with me not into gambling, but still.

Vegas has no point. After the damn was built and the gold rush was over in Calipornia, well, here it stood. So, to change it from a rest stop to a destination it had to keep gambling alive, let the liquor flow 24/7, and turn the occassional back to prostitution.
In order to have a good time you have to be a degenerate like k0na or joyride...
On the other hand, our strip clubs are awesome, you can grocey shop, get a rack of ribs, gamble and buy a new pair of pants all at 3am... can't be mad at that.
Bottom line, this is the best of the worst places to live. Visiting, not sure how that feels, but whatever.

I used to work at a casino, which kind of turned me off from gambling so I just go to Vegas to party a bit and live it up for a night or 2.
Terribles (yes it's really called that) has like a $1.99 breakfast that starts at midnight or so
buying a monorail pass might turn out to be a good investment if you're going up and down the strip a lot. walking is a lot farther than you think.
if you're a fish nerd like me Mandalay Bay has a cool aquarium but like everything else in vegas admission is overpriced.
- Point50
HAHA, Terrible's, that place is owned by a company out here that has a shitload of gas stations... my boy stayed there and said the name is fitting. If you're drunk, broke and hungry (not necessarily in that order) then that might be your ticket for a meal!

i've been to vegas last year, and the most inspiring bit is the neon graveyard:
http://www.directiondesign.nl/si…
(some pics)I forgot the location but taxi drivers now where it is.
I was shocked to see there are slot machines right when you walk out of your plane :-). It's a funny place, good to party and drink A LOT for that Fear and Loathing Las Vegas experience...somehow it made me feel very empty inside - fake everything to the max (and no I don't gamble :-)
- TheBlueOne0
I dig Vegas and I don't gamble. I am a food junkie though and there are great restaurants...and I just get off on the artificiality of the place..walks that fine line between grandeur and total cheese...and if you got a few days, rent a car and drive out to the Grand Canyon..now that was a-fuckin' spectacular..
- joyride0
lol, I'm a degenerate... oh wait, that's bad right? *shakes fist at point5, high fives koNa.
Vegas is what you make of it, it's got a bit of everything. If you like gambling, gamble. If you like shows, see some shows. If you like to sex, get some sex (either paid or otherwise). My only suggestion is to go with people that can have fun in any type of situation. If your group is a bunch of whiners and are rather negative about things, then it might not be fun.

nice pictures Jurre. :) next time im in vegas im checkin that graveyard out fo sho! thanx.
- Jurre0
tnx sea_sea :-) i like old broken stuff, more authentic - maybe because europe is old and broken too ;-)

The best, cheeriest, smilingest, most adventurous, zestiest, gropingest, sexiest, best-looking prostitutes in the history of civilization are the tour guidettes at the Bellagio Art Gallery.
Just stand next to one of the Warhol's for a moment, and you'll have all the crazy woman-sex you can handle!!
Goodness, the memories!!
I could go on and on...
- BANTER0
Just got back, what a dirty shithole of a town.
