the lcd sounds amazing. 922,000 pixels on a 3" lcd. nuts.

yeah, add liveview to that and this is another big step in digital photography.

yeah rand im envious that the D3 is 1:1 ccd..thats what really miffs me about the m8. not until their next digital rangefinder will leica be 1:1.
yeah you can manual focus with the slr but its the interface that leads to inspiration, like anything else. not being able to see thru the lens and all that leads me to see things differently than i did with my slr. been shooting w/rangefinders since about 2000, never going back.

I like the new Nikon stuff a lot. I'm not about to trade in my Canon stuff but its good to know there are plenty of good options around.

the d3 looks amazing. I have been using canon for years, first film, then 300d now 20d. I love the camera's for high iso - especially for indoor club photography. But this canon usp is about to be pissed over and shat on for good it looks like. And all the features of the beast, damn. I AM thinking of switching and i would never thought i would say that. But in the end, the camera is just a tool bla bla.. so what i am a gearhead :-) maybe if the 5dII has equally good color and resolution i'll stick with canon, i have too much L glass
