im going back to my original post. sheppard had greaty artistic talent.

his art although being vandalism was nice because it was part of the city's culture and vibe.

the places the throw-ups and the areas were fun to ffind.

this gave the art an authenticity to its nature thus giving it a level of almost near untouchability.

now lets see where we are today. we see obey tees in walmart and the kidsw purchasing these products know knowing to next to nothing of what obey really is probablly dont evn know who andre the giant is or was. dont live in an urban city which forces the artists to be come the greatness they are being surround by a huge metropolis.

no, they walk into the biggest store that sells knock offs of every design and every designer, makes an utter joke of everything the OBEY ideal stood for.

im happy shep is making due on his art, but the way he approched it by being a urban city vandal to being an entrepreneur leaves a bad taste in my mouth, as all that OBEY art i used to like seeing i wont and really dont bother because it losts its authentic feel.

    good or bad??

id rather be known and remmebered as the guy that did beat the establishment over just some vandal, but in the way he had picked up his audience and his fans i think as i read it here is a let down and they fgeel hurt that some dumb ass kid will be sporting the obey tees while i know a ton of kids that spend hours on end trying to take down original OBEY posters because its worth that much to them, but now all that art that was used to say something is being lost as its seen by billions who just dont know the truth or just dont know period.

    did he sell out??
    who cares!!!
