You choose your monthly price plan and the phone is priced up against that. The highest anyone will have to pay for the phone will be £200. Fact.

I was disgusted when I looked at the video tour of the 'music' part and the album they chose to use to highlight the wonderfulness of the new model, something cool? Something amazing? Something t make you really really want to listen to it?

haha ian, i thought the same thing. Apple normally tries to highlight someone quite cool, like the flaming lips etc. But they're using mika and nellie furtado?
I still want the ipod touch, it will be available here before the iphone and I don't want my ipod to be a phone so it seems perfect.
Not sure about the web browsing, on such a small screen though.

Yeah it just seemed a bit at odds with the usual association of cool they try to attach to the products!
But you're right, I still want one too, just glad my old one is still goin strong though, I'll wait till this fella dies before I upgrade. However good the new ones look!
As for web browsing, my phone has wap or gprs or whatever they're calling it and I never use it to browse the web. Whats the point? Its tiny on screen and takes ages to load.

being able to pop into a Starbucks (Grr) have a coffee and dl whatever tune happens to have popped into your head right there sounds pretty cool to me.
I'm tempted by this, but basically because of the touch screen interface, it looks so fucking cool

that can't hold even a 1/4 of my music collection... looks prettyful though! ugh i'm in need of a new ipod too :(
might just purchase an iphone and unlock so i can use it in the UK :D lol

I have used the iphone as it has the same touch thingy at work some american chick came over with one it's pretty rad but not worth all the fuss really.

I noticed that apple now have a 160GB ipod for about £260. 160! that's more than my big mains powered external hd that I bought a few years ago, and the battery life is better than any other model.
but...it doesn't look as cool and doesn't have touch screen etc.
you're right though, 16GB isn't enough to hold all your music, I think I'd need at least 30GB. Maybe they'll bring out one next year with a decent capacity
