TheBlueOne, I would never kill for Christ or any other man unless my immediate family was being physically threatened.
It would be outside the nature of the God I know to ask me to commit murder, at any rate.

You know, I've spent time in Asia where christianity just doesn't exist and it's moral ethical codes are equally nonsensical and totally devoid of connection to day to day life. It wa sin the abscence of christianity that put it all into perspective for me. Of course, if your ilk was their you'd be too busy trying to convert someone to recognize the beauty and humanity of a way of life that didn't need your god.

Only then do I ever talk about my faith, and in those circumstances I bring it up because I care about those people and want them to be as blessed as I am (that's not to say that my life is problem-free by any stretch). I talk about it on NT because people ask questions or open up debates. But in general, I count conversations, not conversions.

I think everyone's concerns are valid because of how religion is so poorly adapted in America.

Abe was about to do it and God provided a bleating ram stuck in a bush as an acceptable sacrifice just before the knife stroke fell. Isaac was fine. God had no desire to kill Isaac (Isaac proceeded to father the nation of Israel), he just wanted to test Abraham's faith.

By the same logic I will call America as primarily a Buddhist nation as there seem to be buddhists in San Francisco.

gramme and other Christians here: as I've said before, you aren't going to get serious discourse with people here. They have made up there minds and refuse to look at the evidence. I personally have demolished their points and linked up papers which silence their skeptic 101 arguments, already. They ignore these. It is called intellectual dishonesty. These threads really just allow a platfrom for honest seekers to look at the evidence and logic of what we present.
