i just moved here and if you plan to live by yourself in manhattan get at least 70k. you should be able to get much better than that with your book.

Things I love: people, restaurants, nightlife, convenience, brooklyn, art, the "buzz", summer and fall, music scene, always being able discover new things, the trends, the fashion, people watching, working here, the excitement, the community vibe of brooklyn, seeking new places to go out, leaving and coming back, spontaneous fun nights out, not having to drive. taxi's are relatively cheap (compared to london)
ok now some of the things are love are the same as what i dont like:
Dislikes:
it's expensive, not having a car, the winter (burrrr), january feb march april. the biggest drawback is that it's expensive but not nearly as much as london.i love new york and i think really if you want to be here that's all that really matters, the rest will work itself out-like getting a job, meeting people (takes time but it happens), and getting an apt. if you're determined it will get you far. it's really a great place to be but it's not for everyone. if you're looking for a huge place and a yard it's not as easy.

its awesome to be able to not care about money, but if you want to move to nyc, you need to start caring. that being said, judging by your book, you should do quite well for yourself there.

Two big. Two many people that think they are to cool for school. However, there is lots of work out here right now. I talk to you on IM and judging by your offers and your age. You will regret not making the move. Just hold out for the best offer. See if they will fly you over there to see if you "jell" well with the people you are going to be spending most of your life with, if you are with a small agency. ... Just make sure that they do not make you sign a contract for 8 years and take your passport. You might regret some shit. Ha-ha! Not that human trafficin is funny but it would be in the design world. Ill hit you up later. GL

none of small agencies will pay for my "visit" there. they all want to sign a contract stright

the risk is if your're out on the street again without a company or visa after a month :/

what would be of life if we don't take chances? Go for it man, I've been to NY and love it!
If they want to sign a contract and bring you to work, do it, but network like a mothereffer just in case you need a place to move on. Good luck...
